Hidden steel brackets and supports for islands, overhangs, and knee walls, plus knee wall modifications so your new stone sits flat, strong, and safe.

Granite, quartz, and quartzite are heavy. Where a countertop hangs past the cabinet or sits on a knee wall, it needs the right support underneath. The only way we install is the right way, with proper support.
Steel and aluminum supports, most of them hidden. We choose the right one for your layout during the template inspection.

New stone is a good time to fix what never worked. We handle the supports and small modifications so everything fits and holds.
*Modifications may extend the project timeframe. We'll tell you how at your estimate.
They're listed on your quote, and we'll flag at the estimate if your layout needs them.

It varies with the stone and the layout. As a rule, we require a 2-to-1 ratio of supported to unsupported stone, with a maximum overhang of 12" for granite and quartz. For more fragile materials we may recommend 10". We inspect every overhang during the digital template to make sure it's properly supported, and we won't install an overhang in an unsafe way.
Hidden brackets sit under the stone, out of sight. If a visible support is the better choice for your layout, we'll talk it through with you first.
Yes. Whether you keep your layout or change it, we handle supports and hidden brackets for overhangs, islands, and knee walls.
Yes. We can cut down a knee wall so everything sits on the same plane, one continuous countertop.
Often not. Hidden brackets can support many overhangs without legs or corbels. We'll recommend the right support for your layout at the template.
They're an additional charge, listed on your quote. We'll let you know at the estimate if your layout needs them.
