From removing your old countertops to the final plumbing reconnect — GranitePro manages every step in-house from our Eldersburg fabrication facility. One company. One call.
Most homeowners don't realize how many pieces go into a countertop project — or how many different hands can touch it at different companies. At GranitePro, your project is managed from our own facility by our own team. Here's exactly what that looks like.
Your old countertops come out on installation day — the same visit your new ones go in. Our crew handles removal carefully so your cabinets come through undamaged, and we haul everything away. You don't coordinate a separate demo crew or deal with disposal.
Before fabrication begins, we template your kitchen using a state-of-the-art digital laser system. This isn't tape measures and paper patterns — it's millimeter-accurate scanning that captures every angle, every out-of-square wall, and every appliance clearance in your space.
That data feeds directly into our CNC. What gets cut is exactly what was measured. And because the system is digital, your existing countertops stay in place right up until installation day — no living without a kitchen while we prep.
Every countertop we install is fabricated at our own facility in Eldersburg — not outsourced, not sent to a third-party shop. We run a Baca CNC waterjet for cutting and a Northwood router system for edge polishing. Two purpose-built machines that produce consistent, accurate results on every project.
We also operate a water recycling system — fabrication waste water is recirculated rather than discharged. Cleaner process, better operation.
Installation day is when everything comes together. Our own crew — the same team that fabricated your countertops — arrives with your stone, removes the old tops, and installs the new ones. No sub-contracted installers. No strangers in your home.
Seams are set using the Gorilla Seam Setting System with custom color-matched adhesive — UV-resistant glue for white quartz, epoxy-polyester hybrid for granite and natural stone. Every seam is dressed and finished before the crew leaves. The goal on every project: a seam that hides well.
Sink installation and plumbing reconnect are handled by licensed plumbers — coordinated by us so you're not tracking down a separate contractor. For most projects, plumbing is completed the same day as installation. Projects with multiple sinks or more complex plumbing may require a scheduled follow-up visit — you'll know that upfront, not on installation day.
Undermount sinks are anchored with the Sink-It heavy-duty system and sealed around the full perimeter with pure silicone — not caulk. Silicone holds up to the heat and moisture a kitchen sink sees over years of use. Caulk degrades. We don't use it.
We handle both sides of tile — demolition of your existing backsplash and installation of the new one. Everything is coordinated through licensed tile professionals scheduled as part of your project. No sourcing a separate contractor after the countertops are in, no gap between trades.
Tile work typically follows countertop installation once the new stone is set and plumbing is reconnected. Your project coordinator walks you through the timing.
Running your countertop material all the way up the wall is one of the most dramatic upgrades a kitchen can get — and one of the most asked-about. It works in both tile and slab form, and the considerations are different for each.
