Silestone's HybriQ technology uses up to 99% recycled content — the most sustainable quartz in our lineup. Excellent stain and scratch resistance, a wide color range, and a distinctive texture palette including polished and suede finishes. If sustainability matters to you alongside premium quality, Silestone is the answer.

What to know before you choose

  • Quartz is not heat-resistant for prolonged contact. Always use a trivet for hot pans. If you cook with cast iron constantly, granite may be a better fit.
  • Quartz is not suitable for outdoor use. UV exposure causes discoloration. For outdoor kitchens, use granite, quartzite, or Dekton.
  • No sealing required, ever. Non-porous surface — clean with mild soap and water.
  • The sample you approve is what you receive. Engineered consistency is the point — no slab selection required.
  • All brands we carry are GreenGuard Gold certified — independently tested for low chemical emissions.

Frequently asked questions

The biggest differences are design direction, warranty, and price. Cambria is American-made with a lifetime warranty and the most natural-looking patterns. Caesarstone is the original premium brand with the widest style range. Silestone leads on sustainability. Vicostone, MSI Q Quartz, Emerstone, Polar Stone, and Dal-Tile offer strong quality at mid-range prices. Our designers can walk you through the differences in person — no appointment needed.
No. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Clean with mild soap and water — that's all the maintenance it ever needs.
Not directly for extended periods. Quartz contains resin binders that can discolor or crack under sustained high heat. Always use a trivet. If you cook with hot pans constantly, granite may be a better fit — it's fully heat-resistant with no limitations.
No. UV exposure causes quartz to discolor and degrade. For outdoor kitchens, we recommend granite, quartzite, or Dekton — all UV-stable.
Cambria offers a lifetime warranty — the most comprehensive available. Caesarstone and Silestone offer limited lifetime warranties. All mid-range brands carry manufacturer warranties as well. Ask us for current details on any specific brand when you visit.
No. Because quartz is engineered for consistency, you pick a color and pattern — that's what you receive, slab to slab. You can approve a sample with full confidence.
