Do you fabricate and install the countertops yourselves?

Yes. Every countertop is fabricated in our own state-of-the-art facility in Maryland and installed by our own crew. The people who template, cut, and install your countertops are GranitePro employees.

How long does it take to get new countertops?

Most projects take 6-12 business days from template to installation. Your timeline depends on the material you choose and the size of the job, and we'll give you a clear schedule up front.

Can you remove my old countertops and install new ones the same day?

For most standard kitchens, yes. We remove and haul away the old tops, install the new countertops, and a licensed plumber reconnects your sink, all in one visit.

What countertop materials do you offer?

Quartz, granite, quartzite, marble, soapstone, porcelain, and Dekton. Our quartz brands include Cambria, Caesarstone, Silestone, MSI Q Quartz, Vicostone, Polar Stone, and Dal-Tile. Compare materials.

Do you sell kitchen cabinets too?

Yes. Experienced designers on staff design your kitchen and help you choose from Wolf, Fabuwood, and Shiloh. We handle the order and delivery to your home. We don't install cabinets ourselves; we refer installers we trust and schedule your countertops around them. See our cabinetry.

What warranty do you offer?

All of our countertop work carries a 10-year labor warranty. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.

Where do you install countertops?

Across central Maryland, including Carroll, Howard, Montgomery, Frederick, Baltimore, and Anne Arundel Counties, and into southern Pennsylvania. Our showrooms are in Eldersburg and Columbia, and we come to you for a free in-home estimate.

Do I need an appointment to visit a showroom?

No. Walk-ins are welcome during showroom hours: Eldersburg Mon-Fri 9-5, Columbia Mon-Fri 9-5 and Sat 10-3. Booking ahead makes sure a designer is free to spend time with you.

How much do new countertops cost?

It varies a lot with the stone, the brand, and the services you need. For a typical 45-55 square foot kitchen, most of our customers land between $4,500 and $6,500 installed. A free in-home estimate gets you an exact number.

Do you charge for removing old countertops?

Yes, and we separate it on the quote so you can see it: typically $7-$15 per square foot depending on the material and complexity. That includes disconnecting your existing plumbing, which some companies charge extra for.

What's included in your quote?

Everything is itemized. The countertop is one line; removal and disposal, plumbing, faucets, and accessories are each listed separately so you can see what you're paying for and decide. Most customers take the optional services because they're convenient and competitively priced.

Why is another quote so much cheaper?

Three things decide a countertop: the material, how it's fabricated, and who installs it. Cheaper quotes usually mean off-brand stone, hand-measuring with cardboard, semi-automatic cutting, or a subcontracted install crew. We use name-brand materials, laser-template and scan every slab so we see the layout before we cut, fabricate on fully automated machines, and install with our own employees.

Can I keep my existing sink and faucet?

We include a free undermount stainless steel sink of your choice with every kitchen quote, so you don't need to reuse your old sink. You can try to reuse your faucet, but have a backup on site in case the plumber can't reconnect it; water damages the internal parts over time.

What if a seam opens or the countertop chips?

Seams are covered under our 10-year labor warranty. And if you get a chip in the first year, we'll come fix it for free.

How are you different from a big-box store?

Two different products. A big-box store subcontracts a fabricator, who subcontracts an installer, and the margins force everything to be cut for yield. We use top-line materials and cut for how the stone looks and how it holds up: fewer seams, veining that flows through the kitchen, and better materials in the install itself.

Do you do small projects like bathroom vanities?

Yes. We keep a large selection of remnants that are perfect for vanities, bars, and laundry rooms.
