The right slab, wherever it comes from.

Our Eldersburg showroom has full slabs in stock, next to our fabrication facility. Our Columbia showroom has large-format quartz and stone slabs. When the stone you want isn’t on our floor, a large network of wholesalers helps us find it.

The only vested interest we have is making sure you find the perfect stone. Whether it comes from our inventory or our wholesaler network makes no difference to us. We love happy customers.

Granite, quartzite, Dekton & natural stone.

Quartz is our most popular material, but it isn’t right for every kitchen. Granite handles heat well, is UV-stable for outdoor kitchens, and every slab is one of a kind. For homeowners who cook heavily or want a countertop nobody else has, granite is often the better answer. It needs a light sealing now and then; any resealing it needs in the first 3 years is on us.

Quartzite is a natural stone frequently confused with quartz; they are completely different materials. Quartzite is harder than granite, more heat-resistant, and often produces looks that rival the best marble. If you want a true natural stone with a marble look and maximum durability, quartzite is worth seeing in person at either showroom.

Dekton is an ultra-compact sintered surface: zero porosity, extreme scratch and heat resistance, and UV-stable for outdoor use. It’s the right call for high-demand kitchens or outdoor cooking areas. We carry Dekton alongside our full stone lineup.

The details that finish it.

Three decisions that change how a countertop looks and feels, all made with your designer before anything is cut.

  • Edge profilesEased, bullnose, bevel, ogee, mitered, and more. See every edge we cut, and which stones take each one.

  • 3D slab layoutAn additional service: we scan your slab and you see your countertop in 3D, and in augmented reality on an iPhone, before we cut. 1–3 professionally curated layouts.
    3D slab layout
  • Seams and layoutSeam placement is a design decision. We plan seams where the stone’s natural pattern helps them hide, not wherever is easiest to cut. No one can promise every vein will match perfectly, but if it can be matched, we’ll match it.
    How it works

We do cabinets too.

Most people pick cabinets and countertops from different companies on different timelines, then hope it all looks right at the end. Here, the same designer plans both in the same conversation, so the stone, the door style, and the backsplash come together on purpose. The design is free.

Countertop questions.

Don’t see yours? Call Eldersburg (410) 875-7579 or Columbia (443) 516-6737 and ask a real person.

Which countertop is best for a busy family kitchen?

Quartz and granite are the two we install most for busy kitchens. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Granite handles heat well and every slab is one of a kind; any resealing it needs in the first 3 years is on us. A designer walks you through both, in your kitchen or at the showroom.

What’s the difference between quartz and quartzite?

They are completely different materials. Quartz is engineered: consistent color, non-porous, no sealing. Quartzite is a natural stone, harder than granite, more heat-resistant, and often looks like marble. See quartz and quartzite.

How much do new countertops cost in Maryland?

It depends on the material, the size of the kitchen, and the edge and extras you choose, so the honest answer is a free in-home estimate. Every quote is itemized: the countertop is one line, and removal and disposal, plumbing, and accessories are listed separately so you can see what you’re paying for and decide.

Do I need to seal my countertops?

Quartz, no. Granite, quartzite, and marble, yes, now and then; soapstone takes no sealer. Any resealing your countertop needs in the first 3 years is on us. The care guides cover each material.

Can I see full slabs before I decide?

Yes. Eldersburg has full slabs in stock, and Columbia has large-format quartz and stone slabs. When the stone you want isn’t on our floor, a large network of wholesalers helps us find it. Every piece of your countertop comes from the same lot. We never mix and match lots on any project.

How long does it take?

Template to installation is typically 6–12 business days. Most standard kitchens are removed and reinstalled in one day. The full timeline is on the how it works page.

Is removing my old countertops included?

Removal and disposal is an optional service, itemized on your quote. Most customers have us handle it along with the plumbing reconnection because it makes the whole project easy and the pricing is competitive. Details on the countertop replacement page.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The in-home estimate is free with no obligation. A designer measures, walks through options, and gives you a clear, itemized price.

Do you do bathroom vanities and small projects?

Yes. Vanity tops, bar tops, and laundry rooms are everyday work for us, and a large remnant selection at the shop makes small projects affordable. Ask at either showroom.

Do you carry porcelain or Dekton?

Yes, both, alongside quartz and natural stone. Dekton is an ultra-compact surface with extreme scratch and heat resistance and UV stability for outdoor kitchens. Ask a designer about either.

Do you sell cabinets too?

Yes. We design and supply Wolf, Fabuwood, and Shiloh cabinets, and the same designer plans your cabinets and countertops together. See cabinets.

Who does the installation?

Our own crew. The team that fabricates your countertops installs them. For plumbing and tile, we coordinate licensed partners who work around our install schedule.
