We scan your slab with our state-of-the-art slab scanning system. You see your countertop in 3D, and in augmented reality on an iPhone, before anything is cut. 3D slab layout is an additional service.
Natural stone changes from slab to slab. Add 3D slab layout to your project and you know exactly what you're getting.
The slab your countertop will be cut from, scanned in ultra-high resolution with its true color and veining.
Your countertop pieces go onto the scan, so you see where the veins run and where each seam falls.
We send you a link with one to three professionally curated layouts to choose from, with one round of revisions included. Open it on your phone or computer.
With an iPhone, see your countertop in augmented reality. Then we cut the slab you approved.
It's one of the most advanced slab scanners made. What you see on screen is your slab, down to the last vein.

Yes. 3D slab layout is $250, priced separately from your countertops. That includes one to three curated layouts and one round of revisions.
Not always. Natural stone has limits: the size of the slab, where seams have to go, and how the pattern runs. We do the best vein matching in the business, and if the veins can be matched, we'll match them. Your layout shows you exactly how it will look before we cut.
Yes. Every slab that comes into our facility is scanned for our manufacturing process, stock or special order, so the color and veining you see are the real thing. We scan even when a customer doesn't order a layout, because it helps us optimize the cut.
We send you a link. Open it on your phone or computer to see the 3D view. Augmented reality works on an iPhone; the 3D view doesn't need one.
Yes. Every piece of your countertop comes from the same lot. We never mix and match lots on any project.
Granite, quartzite, marble, quartz, porcelain, and more. It matters most with granite, quartzite, and marble, where every slab is different.
Yes. The layout shows exactly where each seam falls and how the veining runs across it, so you approve the seam placement before anything is cut, not after it's installed.
The scan is your actual slab, so the pattern and color are true. Screens vary a little in brightness and color, which is why you're welcome to see the slab in person too. Expect minor variation of up to ±1/8" between the layout and the finished countertop; the layout is a planning tool, not a guarantee of exact vein placement.
